Uttar Pradesh NEET State Quota Counselling 2021 Registration
NEET state and registration will be held only in online mode. Candidates can register themselves for UP NEET 2021 counselling through the official website of the conducting body. Candidates can follow the given instructions for registration:
- Firstly, all qualified candidates have to visit ww.upneet.gov.in.
- Now candidates have to click on the registration link provided on the homepage of the website.
- Enter all the required details carefully and click on the submit button.
- New login and password will be generated. This login password will be used by candidates for further counselling process such as NEET choice filling.
- Candidates also have to pay a counselling fee of Rs.2000/– and this will be the same for all the categories of the candidates. Payment of counselling fee will be done only through online mode and this fee is non-refundable.
- Take a printout of the filled-in registration form for future references.

Eligibility for UP NEET State Quota Counselling
Before filling the registration form for UP NEET state counselling, candidates must ensure that they fulfil NEET eligibility criteria. The criteria under the NEET state counselling are similar to any other counselling eligibility. Candidates failing to meet these eligibility criteria may lose their candidature from NEET 2021 counselling. Eligibility criteria for NEET 2021 is given below:
Age Criteria
The age based criteria for the UP NEET State Quota Counselling are:
- He/She has completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS course.
- The upper age limit for NEET-UG 2021 is 25 years as of the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category and persons entitled for reservation under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016,
- For Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR)– The candidate applying must be born on or between 07.05.1996 and 01.01.2004.
- For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PH Category– The candidate applying must be born on or between 07.05.1998 and 01.01.2004.

Reservation for UP NEET State Quota Counselling
As per the reservation fixed by the higher authorities, 15% of seats under the All India Quota will be filled by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on the behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of India and the remaining 85% seats under the state quota in UP will be filled by the state counselling authority i.e. Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Lucknow. Reservation for MBBS and BDS seats in UP is provided in two forms i.e. horizontal and vertical reservation. Below we have shared category-wise reservation for NEET UP seats-

UP NEET State Quota Counseling Procedure
Uttar Pradesh NEET State Quota Counselling 2021 procedure includes the following steps given below:
- Registration for NEET counseling
After the publication of the NEET state merit list, eligible candidates can fill the online registration form for counselling. Candidates have to fill the form by paying a registration fee. Make sure that you fill in all the details carefully in the form. Also, the registration fee has to be submitted through an online mode.
- Choice Filling
After the successful registration, the candidates are now required to fill in the choices for their preferred course Under Graduate Courses like MBBS/BDS. Also, they need to select the respective colleges offering these courses. They can fill choices according to their preferences.
- Allotment of seats
Based on choices filled by the candidates and their NEET score/ranks, seats will be allotted to the candidates in their preferred medical and dental college. The seat allotment result will be declared on the official website. Candidates can check the website and continue with further processes.
- Reporting to the allotted colleges
After the allotment of the seats, candidates need to report to their allotted colleges for seat confirmation. Seats will be confirmed only after the payment of the fee and verification of documents.
- Choice filling- Round 2 counseling
Candidates who will not be allotted any seats in the first round can apply for second round counselling to get a seat in their preferred medical and dental college. Only those candidates can fill choice in this round who has participated in the first round of counselling.
- Allotment of seats
Seats will be allotted to candidates against the second round of counseling.
- Reporting to the allotted college
All such candidates who are allotted the seats in Round-2 can report to the allotted college along with all the essential documents required to complete the admission process.
- Mop up Round of Counseling
This is the last step of the counselling procedure. This round is conducted to fill all the seats reverted from 15% All India Quota and other vacant seats from the state. Mop up round is usually open to all candidates. Interested candidates have to fill fresh choice for this round. Mop up round is an offline process, therefore, candidates have to be physically present at the time and place of counselling.

UP NEET Counselling- Important Documents
At the time of document verification, candidates have to carry all the required documents in original along with one photocopy (self-attested) of each. Following documents are required at NEET counselling:
- NEET 2021 admit card
- 10th and 10+2 mark sheet
- Two photographs same as uploaded in the online application form
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile (Original)
- NEET 2021 rank card
- A printed copy of the online registration form
