Sikkim NEET Counselling 2021

Seat Reservation- Sikkim NEET Counselling 2021

Reservation of the seats in various medical colleges offering admission, will be as per the reservation norms of the Sikkim Government. Thus, some percentage of seat reservation will be there for each category. In order to get these reserved seats, the student will be required to produce relevant documents pertaining to the same. Participating Colleges

There are two bodies under the state that participate in the counselling rounds. Thesse colleges proide the MBBS, BDS and seats in other allied medical courses through the counselling. They are:

  • Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences– For MBBS
  • Sikkim Manipal University – For BDS

For the academic session 2021-22, the SMU has provided 30% MBBS seats out of their total intake. Of these 30% seats, 20% of seats will be on a concessional fee and 10% will be on the full basis. The seat matrix for the concessional seats will be drawn as usual along with other available seats. However, the seats with full course fee seat matrix will be drawn separately duly following the reservation and roster policy of the State Government.

Cut Off for NEET Counselling- Sikkim

For any students to get consideration under the state quota seats or the All India Quota Seats, he/ she will need a minimum qualifying percentage marks. These percentile marks differ along various categories.

Sikkim NEET Merit List

Counselling for the state quota merit list will proceed only as the final results are out for NEET 2021. The merit list will be as per the marks of the candidate in the NEET Exam and will be published on the official website of the counselling body. All the candidate who qualifies for the NEET exam can check for their name on the list on the official website. The counselling process will proceed according to the obtained merit list.

Admission Process for Sikkim

The process of admission under the state is a sequential step by step process. We are listing below the stages of the NEET Admission Process under the state. All the NEET Aspirants can refer to these and make their admission process easier.

Stage 1: Registration

Registration Process is an essential step, to participate in the counselling. The registration will be done online on the official website of the authority. Candidates can fill in their application online and keep a printout of the application. Make sure to keep an additional copy of your application with you as the student will have to produce it during the verification of documents. Also, the application fee will be paid in the form of a Demand Draft.

Stage 2: Verification of Documents

After the students complete the application process, the next stage will be Verification. The candidate will have to produce some documents which will be verified by the officials of the counselling authority. We will list down all these documents in the sections below. Stage 3: Filling and Locking Choices

All those candidates who will come through the verification process will be considered for the further process of filling the choices. Stage 4: Seat Allotment

As per the choices filled by the candidates, the authority will allocate a college and seat to the candidate. The allotment of seats will also be based on the rank of the student and the seat availability within the College/ University. The result of seat allotment will be published on the official website of the authority. Student willing to secure admission will have to download this provisional allotment.

Stage 5: Reporting

The student who will be allotted a seat will report to his/ her respective college. The student will have to report within the time and date specified by the authority. In case any student fails to do so, his/ her admission may be cancelled. The student must carry all the original documents as he reports to the college.

    • Only if you have a Sikkim domicile or your father /mother is a government employee in Sikkim or hold trade license issued in Sikkim , then you are eligible to apply for Sikkim state quota.
