NEET Qualification Codes 2021
NTA organizes the NEET Undergraduate exam for the students aspiring to join the medical fields. NTA NEET is a very important exam to get admission into the MBBS and BDS graduation programs in some of the meritorious medical and dental colleges in India.
To pursue medical courses of any nature, students in India are required to sit for NEET. Therefore, giving them eligibility to go for the best Universities in India as well as outside of India.

Qualification codes are basically specified upon the last qualification possessed by the candidate giving the exam. Below we are listing all the codes, students can use this for reference while filling up the application.
Code 1 of NEET 2021 is for all the students who are appearing in the XIIth standard with an awaited result. For such students, to get consideration for admission under NEET, he/ she has to clear the 12 class examination with the qualifying percentage. The candidate who is going to for giving the entrance exam must clear his 12 class in the same year.
Also, the student willing to qualify under NEET must possess Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English as the major subjects. The student also needs to make sure that his/ her marks in all of these subject must be of qualifying nature. In addition to this, students will also produce the original qualifying documents for finally securing the admission.
The students who are applying for the NTA NEET exam has to fulfil the criteria of as he or she has completed 12 years of study from any school. In addition to this, the student should have given his Indian School Certificate Examination or Higher/ Senior Secondary Examination. The student should possess basic subjects in the last two years of study. These subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology/ Biology (with practicals), Mathematics/ elective subject and English.
But as Biology, Physics and Chemistry form the important subject for the exam. It is important that the student must have passed the practical examination for these. Also, if there is any other Institution/ Board other than the ones mentioned above including the ones outside India. Students studying in any such boards will have to produce certificates clarifying, that the level of the Institution’s qualifying exam is equivalent to the 10+2 examination.
Students who fall under this code will be the ones who have passed/ appearing in Class 12 or any Pre-degree education in Science. Such a qualification can be from any acknowledged Indian University or School Education Boards.
The student is also required to have Biotechnology/ Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English as essential subjects. He/ She must also undergo the practical examinations for all of these subjects.
This code is for the candidates who have completed their pre-professional and pre-medical examination after their Higher Secondary/ equivalent exam. The candidate passing must have qualified the exam with the subjects of PCB (physics, chemistry, biology/ biotechnology) and English. It must also include the practical exams for these subjects and exams of the education.
Here the subject English is very important subject after higher secondary examination or the pre-university or another equivalent examination in India which come under Indian education system.
Code five will include all the candidates who are studying in the first year of any three-year degree course. The degree course must be from any acknowledged University. The student should have subjects of Physics, Biology/ Biotechnology and Chemistry. It includes University Exam Level Practical Examinations in the given subjects.
The students should possess a clear knowledge of Science subject. Here the candidates also have to pass his or her earlier examination from the same subjects, i.e., PCB. Also, the English subject at this level should have not been less than the core course.
Code Six is for the candidate that is applying for the NEET Exam after passing the B.Sc. Exam. The student has to make sure that he/ she holds a graduation degree in the Bachelor of Sciences from any Indian University. Also, the student should possess a minimum of two subjects among Physics, Biology (Zoology/ Biology)/ Biotechnology and Chemistry.
Here the basic idea is that the candidate should have some basic idea about the basic subject and due to which he or she will not face any difficulty during the program. So, in addition to all these mentioned above, the student should also have passed the class 12th with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English.
It is for the candidates who are studying any other examination which is equal to the level of the school 10+2 standard education system. Otherwise, it may be a University education system that has the same subject as PCB (physics, chemistry, biology) in the equivalent exam.
These subjects should include practical examinations for them including English. Basically the Education System must be similar to the Intermediary level of examination under any Indian board.

Apart from all these Codes, PCB is an important subject to make any candidate eligible for the NEET entrance examination. Here, the candidate has to pass any of the basic education degrees from any of the affiliated institution in India. The student also needs to get a minimum of 50% of marks in the last qualifying examination in physics, chemistry, and biology.
The qualification for the exam is mentioned in Clause 2 of the Graduate Medical Education Regulations 1997.
The candidates that are from SC/ST/OBC community backgrounds, have to score only 40% in the exam. Although the students from EWS and Unreserved category have to reach a score of 50% to qualify for the exam. Also, the qualification criteria for Persons with Physical disabilities is 45% marks. All these marks will be an aggregate score of all the Major Subjects for the Exam.
Furthermore, the candidates from abroad who are seeking admission in medical colleges. All such candidates must have to pass in the subjects of physics, chemistry and biology and English in 12th class or equivalent with at least 50% of marks. Also, the board in which the student is studying should be recognisable to the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
