Jammu & Kashmir NEET State Merit List 2018: Jammu & Kashmir NEET 2018 merit list is expected to release in the month of June. Last year it was released on 2nd July. Merit list will be released online and after that candidate whose name will be there in the merit list will be able to register for counseling. Admission in MBBS and BDS course in Jammu and Kashmir will be done strictly on the basis of merit of the candidates.

NEET (i.e. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an important entrance test conducted by CBSE in India for the admission of students into MBBS and BDS courses. NEET exam for 2018 was successfully conducted on 6 May 2018 and the result is scheduled to be announced on 5th June 2018. The result will be followed by the release of cut-off and merit list and finally, seats will be allotted to the candidates whose name will appear in the merit list.

Jammu & Kashmir NEET 2018 MBBS BDS Merit List- Tie- Breaker

In case, if two candidates score equal marks, it becomes difficult to rank them. Inter-se-merit of such candidates can be determined on the basis of following parameters-

  • Candidate scoring highest marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be given preference and will be ranked higher.
  • If tie still persists then the candidate with highest marks in chemistry will be considered.
  • Candidates attending less number of wrong answers or attempting fewer mistakes in all the subjects in the test will be ranked high.
  • Candidate older in age will be given preference and hence will be ranked high.
