Gujarat NEET State Quota Merit List 2020: NEET 2020 exam was successfully conducted on 13th Sept 2020 in various centres established in 136 cities across India. The result was announced on 12th November 2020 and candidates who have registered for counselling are waiting for the release of merit list. Gujarat NEET State Quota Merit List 2020

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam) is a national level medical entrance examination in India. It is mandatory to qualify NEET if a candidate wants to get admission in MBBS/ BDS course in a medical college in India. On the basis of cut-off marks and merit obtained in the entrance exam, seats are allotted to the candidates in various medical colleges across India.

Gujarat NEET 2020 Merit List

Merit list is simply the list of candidates qualified and ranked on the basis of marks obtained in an examination. Gujarat NEET 2020 merit list has released on 20th Nov 2020. Gujarat NEET merit list and counseling for 85% state quota seats will be conducted by Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC). Gujarat NEET 2020 MBBS BDS Merit List- Tie- Breaker

In case, if two candidates score equal marks, it becomes difficult to rank them. Inter-se-merit of such candidates can be determined on the basis of following parameters-

  • Candidate scoring highest marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be given preference and will be ranked higher.
  • In case, tie still persists then the candidate with highest marks in chemistry will be considered.
  • Candidates attending less number of wrong answers or fewer mistakes in all the subjects in the test will be ranked high.
  • Lastly, age criteria will be taken to break the tie between two candidates. Candidate older in age will be given preference and hence will be ranked high.
