University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) is ranked among the top medical colleges of India. It is situated in Delhi and is affiliated with the popular University of Delhi (DU). It is a government medical college which was founded in 1971 by the Health Minister.

UCMS, New Delhi is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI). It offers various UG, PG, Paramedical and Diploma courses. Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital is the teaching hospital associated with UCMS, New Delhi. It was the first college to start a Medical Humanities Group in India.
In the year 2017, it was ranked 5th by ‘India Today’, 13th by ‘Outlook India’ and, 14th by ‘The Week’ among the top medical colleges in India.

Admission Procedure
Admission in most of the courses in UCMS, New Delhi is granted on the basis of entrance exams. Admission in 150 seats of MBBS is granted to the candidates on the basis of the National Level medical entrance test i.e. NEET UG score. Postgraduate seats like MS, MD are filled through NEET-PG and admission in B.sc (MT) is again granted on the basis of a university level entrance exam conducted by UCMS, New Delhi.
