Dayanand Medical College and Hospital Ludhiana: One of the most well-reputed colleges in Punjab is the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital(DMCH), Ludhiana. In 1938 it was recognized as for Licentiate of the Punjab State Medical Faculty (LSMF) and in the following year, the governing body decided to call the Ludhiana Medical School as Arya Medical School and the associated hospital too is as Dayanand Hospital.

Dayanand Medical College and Hospital Ludhiana
DMCH has been affiliated with the Baba Farid University of Health and Sciences, Faridkot Punjab. The University offers various courses at UG and PG level for its students in the field of medical sciences such as MBBS and BDS along with some super-specialty courses as well.
In 1980 Dayanand Medical College and Hospital was the very first hospital in the state of Punjab to have a dialysis unit in the department of Nephrology, DMCH is also credited for the Indian Nursing Council for nursing courses and it is also the only institution in North India which has an entire floor of Intensive care units(ICU).
